Medicaid Check-In Toolkit
"Don’t lose your healthcare. Take 10 minutes today to protect your coverage."
1. What’s Happening
Congress Has made cuts that will drop hundreds of thousands of North Carolinians from Medicaid. Many people are already losing coverage because of new paperwork and redetermination rules. Even if you still qualify, you could be dropped without warning unless you act now.
2. Step-by-Step: How to Check Your Status
Step 1: Look for a letter or email from your county DSS
If you got a redetermination notice, respond immediately—even if you think they have your info already.
Step 2: Create or log into your NC ePASS account
Check your benefits and update your info online.
Step 3: Contact your county DSS office
Call or visit in person (see local links below) to confirm you’re still covered.
Step 4: Need help?
Call the NC Navigator line: 1-855-733-3711 for free enrollment help.

Encourage neighbors, friends, and family to check their status—even if they think they’re fine. The system is dropping people without notice.
6. Why This Matters
“I’m running for Congress because no one should lose healthcare because of a missed form. This toolkit is here because I believe in looking out for each other—starting right here at home.” —Harry Morley
