Meet Harry

Teacher. Neighbor. Advocate. Candidate for Congress, NC-10

Harry is a proud product of North Carolina’s public schools- and a lifelong advocate for the communities they serve. Raised in Fayetteville, Harry was diagnosed with dyslexia thanks to the insight and compassion of public school teachers who saw his potential and refused to let him fall through the cracks. Their belief in him changed the course of his life, inspiring a 37-year career in education devoted to paying that gift forward.

Harry earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Anthropology from UNC Greensboro followed by a Master’s in Education from Salem College. As a classroom teacher, he has guided thousands of students and championed their growth- especially those who, like him, needed someone to believe in them.

He comes from a family that understands service. Harry’s father rose through the ranks of the U.S. Army to become Lieutenant Colonel- earning that title without attending West Point, a distinction that speaks to preseverance, integrity, and quiet strength. Those same values shaped Harry’s approach to both teaching and leadership.

A proud and active member of both the North Carolina Association of Educations (NCAE) and the Nation Education Association (NEA) for the entirety of his career, Harry has always been a voice for educators and working families. He is a regular presence at Forsyth County Board of Education meetings and events, staying engaged in the policies that shape our schools.

Outside the classroom, Harry serves as Democratic Chair for his local precinct, where he’s worked to build grassroots energy and bring neighbors together around shared goals. He’s not running for power or prestige- he’s running because NC-10 deserves a representative who listens, shows up, and fights for real solutions. From affordable healthcare to rural broadband, from fully funded schools to small business support, Harry’s focus is simple: put people first.

Harry’s campaign is built on service, transparency, and people-first values. He isn’t backed by corporate PACs- he’s backed by educators, nurses, farmers, students, veterans, and neighbors who want real solutions and real leadership.

This campaign isn’t about politics as usual. It’s about fighting for the next generation- just like someone once fought for him.
